It goes without saying that COVID-19 has brought the world to a halt, affected so many people, and forced us to make adjustments in our business. As of this week, all adults in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are eligible to sign up for and receive the COVD-19 vaccine. Also this week, New Hampshire has opened its doors to vaccinating out-of-staters. We are optimistic that this means we are headed in the direction towards a return to normalcy.
Since March 2020, we have consistently monitored the COVID-19 regulations and what that means for our company and RELCO Associates internally, as well as communicated with our customers to ensure we are meeting their demands and safety requirements.
Our internal contact tracing team, spearheaded by our Director of Corporate Safety, has taken the precautions and communicated effectively and efficiently with field staff and Outside Supervisors when people are required to quarantine and produce negative test results allowing us to make prompt adjustments to meet the demands in field while prioritizing safety of all on site.
Some job sites have adopted new hard hats with safety shields to provide added protection against the COVD-19 virus.
As each new job begins on site, our Warehouse Manager has supplied personal protective equipment (PPE) packages to limit direct exposure to the virus and ensure the safest work environment for all, including:
- Spray bottle with hose
- Laser thermometer
- Roll of Covid stickers for social distancing
- Floor sticker
- Bottles of spray hand sanitizer with nozzles
- Tub of alcohol wipes
- Gallon of bleach
- MSDS sheet and dilution instructions for bleach
- Metal signs
- Boxes of disposable face masks
Until we can gather and feel confident about our safety in relation to COVID-19, we will continue to monitor safety, follow the direction of the CDC and the individual general contractors on jobsites. Stay safe out there!
