This July represents the second anniversary of the passing of our founder, James Reilly. It’s impossible to let a July pass and not think of Jim. The 4th of July – the unofficial start to summer – was his all-time favorite holiday spent with a large cookout surrounded by family and friends. It’s the month that marks his wedding anniversary to Kathy, his beloved Mrs.
In the past two years, so much has changed – at RELCO and in the world. It hasn’t been easy finding our way with our leader no longer physically present and as we all experience the challenges of a global pandemic. Despite these challenges, we persevere and remain optimistic moving forward keeping in mind Jim’s spirit, his love of RELCO and family, and his desire to create the extended RELCO Family.
While we are sad to be unable to celebrate with him, we do celebrate his legacy.
This month, RELCO issued scholarships to eight children of RELCO employees who are pursuing post-high school educational opportunities. RELCO hosted a month-long summer raffle culminating with the grand prize being issued on the 4th of July holiday. Cash prizes, or a choice of a Yeti package, a Tommy Bahama beach package, or a “mystery backpack” – where employees took a risk in hopes of receiving a desirable prize! – were awarded.
Within our RELCO community, family members work as a part of Team RELCO to keep his spirit and commitment to employees and their families alive. We are proud of the team members who have been here since the beginning and grown with RELCO and have become family.
The RELCO work ethic, the goal of satisfying our customers and getting every job done right will persist because of all of those who contribute to Team RELCO. RELCO will continue to meet the challenges of today, while preparing and looking ahead to the future.
GO RELCO!
